Jack Clarke was up first in a contest against Middlebrough's Josh Elgie. After 3 rounds between 2 young technical fighters, the result was a draw. Next up in action,15 year old Jim Cairns in only his second fight against the much older Steve Iverson, 17. For 3 solid rounds Jim controlled the fight, took control of the centre of the ring and proceeded to completly outbox his opponent to earn a complete shut out on the scorecards. Another great performance by Jim who has continued to improve as a fighter. Lastly for Stokefullcontact, Undefeated Gareth Filcock was back in against Hometown fighter Mike Curtis. Out witting his opponent completly in the first round it looked as though Gaz was in for a good night, however at the beginning of the 2nd round gaz was brutally knocked down by a haymaker from his opponent. Fair play to Gaz who re-grouped really well from what was a heavy knockdown to push back the scorecards to earn a draw from the judges and stay undefeated.
